L’antica cultura persiana, che si è sempre espressa attraverso segni e gesti mutevoli e al contempo eternanti, si sviluppa nelle opere di Behnam Alì Farahzad con delicatezza e tenacia. Si tratta della ricerca di tracce di un paesaggio bellissimo, di una terra speciale, che conosce
le emozioni e i sentimenti più intimi degli esseri umani, i suoni dell’anima, del cuore, degli spiriti che ognuno ha dentro di sé.
Quello di Behnam Alì Farahzad è un discorso articolato su impalcature fragili, mobili al vento, oscillanti ai nostri stessi passi. Una forma di cammino, perché per lui fare arte è come
l’atto del camminare, ha radici molto profonde, si pensi ai pellegrinaggi, all’idea del viaggio iniziatico, alla predisposizione innata in alcuni al nomadismo.
Un cammino che si esprime attraverso segni magici e sfuggenti che hanno riempito centinaia e migliaia di piccole carte, passando poi a grandi tele che volevano incontrare sguardi curiosi e affascinati di tempi vicini e più lontani, prendono la loro via nel segno del vuoto che tanto lo ha impegnato.

The age-old Persian culture, which has forever expressed itself by means of signs and gestures that are at once changeable and eternal, is further developed in the work of Behnam Alì Farahzad, both delicately and with tenacity.
Here is the search for traces of a beautiful landscape, of a special land, one that knows the most intimate feelings and emotions of human beings; the dreams of the soul, the heart, the spirits that each one of us has inside.
Ali Behnam Farahzad’s is a discourse articulated with fragile structures that move with the wind and sway with our steps. A form of walking, this art of Ali Behnam Farahzad, because for him, making art is like the act of walking, in all of its profound implications: one thinks of pilgrimages, of the journey of initiation, of the innate predisposition some have for the nomadic life.
This journey expresses itself through magical, fleeting signs that have filled hundreds and thousands of small sheets of paper before then jumping to the large canvases, which seek to encounter curious and fascinating glimpses of times recent and long past, taking their cue from the sign for the void Farahzad has made such use of.
